Mount Everest By Sunset !

I shot it just less than two weeks ago ! ( by 10th Nov 2023 ) from Half Way of Kalapathhar , Nepal.

Well, it's certainly a spectacular shot, although I get the impression that the redness has been exaggerated in post-processing.

What's surprising is the impression that much of the peak of Mt Everest does not appear to be covered in snow. I suppose September-November must be the period of least snow cover, but I didn't realize there would be such significant areas without snow, at such a great height.

Thank you for your reaction. The redness has not been increased at all, not even 1% , I left as it is because it was already red enough.

Yes, there is not enough snow in the most of the mountains of Nepal for the last 25 years or longer - perhaps it is because of global warming.

That's a really pretty sight! Even if I'll never ascend it this photo makes it look friendly enough to dream about it.
