I've been trying to catch the color while it lasts around here so I've been going out pretty often.
I also just got voted "Best Photographer" in our little community People Choice Awards which was a nice surprise. It motivated me to shoot even more.
So here's a catch-up post from the last week or so.

First up is my eclipse shot. I had higher hopes to incorporate some landscape with it but my plan wasn't good enough and the sun was higher than I could line up with anything interesting.

I caught a really nice sunset one evening at the nearby creek. (I don't think these ever got posted here)

Leaves are down in the higher altitude aspen groves. We call it stick season.

Beckwith Mountain off Kebler Pass with a nice sunset and the last of the aspen leaves.

Crescent moon back at the creek. If I had been quicker to get set up I could have included a silhouetted owl in one of those trees but it departed before I could get a shot off. (boo)

Panorama of town from a small nearby mountain. Cottonwoods down here still have some leaves left.

Last night by the lake. Kind of windy and clear but I thought this image came out ok.
