10+ years after these fires I'm surprised that only some weeds are growing and very little else.

Those plants must similar to what we call fire weed in the US. First plant to come back after a fire. i believe their seed requires the heat of the fire to germinate.

This is in US, in Rocky Mountain NP. But that area had the fire more than 10 years ago, I would have expected some small bushes/trees to start growing by now.
