Yes, my comment it personal and what I inteded to say is that articles written this way do not interest me.
I rather prefer the style of Dan Wells (extensive, lots of personal experiences) and the ones from 4 years ago and before.

I'm dissapointed about how quiet this place has become but I hate to leave.
There are so much valuable articles and video's from the past that I read and watch over and over again!
That's all.

This article is useless drivel. The last part about Canon's Lucia Pro inks reads like it is lifted from a Canon press release. I particularly love the hyping of Canon's Lucia Pro "archival" properties, well known to be worse than Epson, HP or even previous Canon ink sets. Leave the tech stuff to Dan.

Like Ruuduitdegraaf, I hate to leave after decades, but there is not much left to see here.

This article is useless drivel.
Colorimetrically indeed, it is (which is why there isn't a lick of color science used in the piece).  :'(
A simple snapshot of my puppy, from raw encoded into ProPhoto RGB.
The color gamut plot of the actual image against the color gamut of Epson P900; massive amounts of color in the image exceed the gamut of the printer.

Pigment-based inks now produce prints with remarkable colour accuracy, rendering even the subtlest of hues with precision and richness.
Utter rubbish (colorimetrically), otherwise acceptable for marketing BS. We can go into what color accuracy really is, but nothing in this piece speaks of it.

Pigment-based inks excel in capturing fine details, intricate textures, and subtle tonal variations, ensuring prints that are faithful to the original image
