Have Problems with Mac OSX 13 and colour management been fixed
« on: October 03, 2023, 02:15:44 pm »

I've been reading about problems with printing through Mac OSX 13.  The latest version of Photoshop recommends v13.  But things are working fine at the moment with Monterey - have the problems with the print drivers for OSX 13 been fixed or are there still problems?

Thanks

I've had zero issues with Ventura. I'm now on Sonoma, but I need to run some tests.
Print drivers, that's a different story (YMMV depending on the driver).

Just tested an Epson P800 and P900 in OS14 (Sonoma) using Photoshop to manage color; no issues, the output is as it should be.
Converted to output color space in Photoshop to test using the ColorSync utility (Print as target); it too works as it should.

I run an Epson SC-P5000 plus an old but still pretty good 3880.  From what I have read there are problems with settings not sticking on the Epson drivers.  I have set up presets in Lightroom for printing on both printers and with different papers and paper sizes.

Seeing your most recent post do you suggest skipping OS13 and going to OS14.  Just in passing I have to say that your input and advice on this forum (and I have watched and made notes on pretty much all of your videos) are exceptional.  So thank you for your continued support.  Much appreciated.
