I got up early to catch sunrise at a favorite location with the fall colors. The Castles was the location and the fall colors are looking good. Unfortunately the sky was a bit too clear but you have to take what you get in these situations. I liked this patch of aspens for the color variety. The reds are much less common than yellow when it comes to aspen trees.
Then after catching up on some things around the house and a nice nap I got out for sunset. Weather moved in during the day which I was happy to see. I took an easy 4x4 drive up to this overlook. Light was hard to come by but it briefly broke through a couple of times and the second time I was actually ready.
