Help needed cailibrating my monitors
« on: January 19, 2007, 09:34:36 am »

I am trying to figure out how to properly calibrate both my laptop screen (Dell D820 Latitude WUXGA) and external monitor (Dell 2007 WFP) I am using a Monaco XR pro calibration system and am using the advanced option. I am trying to understand what I should be using in the setting tabs for:

White luminance (I have head to set this anywhere from 85cd to 120 cd)
Black luminance (not sure where to start with this one)
White Point (right now I am using D65 on both to try and be consistent vs. native)

The other question I have is if you use your video cards software to help make adjustments (brightness/contrast) or just the external buttons on either the monitor or laptops external brightness control??

Any help would be immensely appreciated!
