It's really been feeling like fall the past few days and leaves are just starting to turn. I liked the clouds that afternoon and didn't have time to go far so I just headed to the nearby creek (Tomichi Creek). Water levels are pretty low now which is typical for this time of year. I liked the look of this particular cloud and my intent was to compose a shot a few hundred yards away from this location. I hopped the fence to get to my intended spot and heard some low grunting. That turned out to be what looked like two young bulls who were posturing and sparring with each other. They immediately looked at me and that was enough to make a hasty retreat from that particular meadow.
So this was plan B but I think it worked out ok. The low water made for a nice reflection and the cloud did its job very well. I stopped down as the sun was just touching the horizon to produce the starburst. As an added bonus the mosquitoes have calmed down out there and it was pretty pleasant unlike a few weeks back where I'd be donating a lot of blood to them and feeling very rushed.
