Exquisite (colors, composition, background blur, etc...) with a perfect control of DOF (handheld is even more impressive).

Cropping is always a matter of personal taste.  I would focus in on the "star" of this image and get rid of the rest.

Closer to what I would have done.  I would leave a bit more space around the berry.  You have to figure out what appeals to your artistic tastes.  I was only suggesting to consider getting rid of "stuff' that makes no contribution to your image.

It was an image I wanted,.. very much. The background and how one can use Rose Hips to make tea,... goes back before my time.

With your valued comments,  I think I've settled on this version.

This is pretty close to the way I would have cropped it.   Don't be afraid to get close to your subject.
