Finer adjustment of exposure etc

I used to do exposure and the other such as level adjustment by placing cursor on the dot in the sliver and rotate scroll wheel rather than moving the slider as I can not move it in a fine amount but I found yesterday my old way does not work any longer .
Can anyone help?

There is nothing in LR (despite the name) that adjusts exposure.
Can you show a screen capture of what you're referring to?

Quite what the OP means by "the dot in the sliver and rotate scroll wheel"  is less clear.

Again, despite the name, the slider has NOTHING to do with exposure. Exposure only takes place at capture.

I never liked the "click on the handle and scroll wheel method."  But I do have three recommendations for fine adjustments.  First, drag the whole develop panel as far out as you can from the left side.  It makes it wider, and therefore the "throw" distance of the sliders is greater allowing a little better granularity.  Second, if you hold down the shift key while "operating the slider handle" it puts it in "slow movement mode" for much finer control.  Third (and best once I'm close) I "click" the number box to the right of any given slider to "select" it.  Then I can use the up and down arrow keys on my keyboard to make very fine adjustments.  Hit the enter key when done and it "sets" the value in the box and unselects it.

Not a 'feature' I've ever used, or even heard of before, and having tried it I find it horribly clumsy. However for the OP it DOES still work, at least here on my system;

LR 12.4
Std Microsoft mouse and driver.
