Epson R3000 ink flush question
« on: August 14, 2023, 07:04:00 pm »

I have an Epson R3000 printer, using Epson inks. The R3000 uses stationary remote ink tanks, so there are ink lines between the tanks and print head.

After one installs a new ink cartridge, how long does it take  [/i]on average[/i]  for the ink from the new cartridge to begin to appear on a print? Emphasis: "on average; obviously it depends on the image and size being printed. Assume an 8.5 x 11/A4 print of a profiling target; i.e., a relatively even distribution of inks being used.

Im trying to determine how many prints need to be made to flush the old cartridges residual ink from the lines in order to print an accurate new profile target, assess cartridge issue, etc.

Thanks in advance.
