Humidity and poster hangers

I hung up 4 40" prints using a poster hanging system and with the seasons changing and higher humidity there is a lot of rippling. I am wondering if it's worth reprinting them or if going back through another dry winter and humid summer will cause the same thing to happen again in a year. I usually lay flat and allow things to dry a few days before I handle and trim them, but perhaps I should put them into the hangers as soon as they're printed before they start to dry out? Or is this a lost cause and I should just dry press mount them and frame them?

Even for temp hanging we mount our posters to 3/16 foam board with attached adhesive.
Yes it is an added cost but it keeps them flat and if sold they all ready to hang or frame.
No dry press required for adhesive foam board. We pay about $2.39 a sq. ft. for 4x8' sheets.

You use a hand roller to mount it onto the adhesive?

When I first attach the print I burnish it down by hand with a little bleed, flip it over and trim with a utility knife.
 Since I have a laminator I run it through. It is a very strong adhesive and using a j roller works as well.

Are you saying that you've found foamboard that doesn't warp, because all foamboard I've ever used, even the 1/2" stuff, has warped.  Now Gatorboard I've never had warp.

Can you point me towards an example of such? I usually print on Hahnemuhle baryta papers, they aren't cheap to begin with.

For almost all of our canvas prints that get mounted we use 3/16 or 3/8" gator mounted with Miracle Muck.
For the cheap banners foam board is perfect. Great way to present them mounted and of course they are meant to be framed, which makes anything flat.

What is 2x coating actually? Warping foamboard is due to the difference in elongation between paper and board. Gatorboard is strong enough to resistant deformation.

2X means it's coated on both sides which cuts down warping significantly.

Ah, interesting. I have some two-sided papers. Never knew it would work better here.
