Wildflower hunting

I spotted a big patch of flowers recently from the highway. It's up high in an area I don't get to very often but I thought should try and figure out how to get to it before it's done. Last night we got some clouds too which have been scarce lately so I had to go for it.
The road I took got me relatively close but the patch is in a valley with no roads to it so I was going to have to find my way into it from the road. So I put my new drone up to scout for routes and see the extent of the flower patch. It's a big one! The drone recon helped me find a primitive trail that would get me close and then I could bushwhack to the patch from there.

To top it off there was a really nice sunset too and I got some images I'm happy with from the flower patch.

Me too but it's been very dry for a month now. There will be more flowers but they will be up high, closer to the snowline. These are probably fading.
