Shadow and light
« on: June 24, 2023, 07:30:56 am »

A study of light illuminating a small wild berry bush growing next to a fallen tree. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts and comments. Cheers.

Superb and complex with this light. I'm a bit unsure (in other words, I need more time) about the very brightly lit piece of bark at the top center of the frame. I like the light on the leaves, it sculpts the scene.
Well done.

Thanks, Francois. You may be right about the light on the bark. I'll see what I can do to lessen its impact. Good suggestion.

Yes, try another variation… Maybe the first version is better (or not). Maybe it's just me  ;)

No, not just you. I saw that brighter light and wondered if it could be toned down so that the exquisite tones in the leaves would be emphasized more. Was reluctant to say anything even thought this is in the UC thread. And Bob, I think the "shadow and light" theme/project is another great idea.

This one is much better. The marvellous leaves w/light are now much more important in the composition.

IMHO, that's it! The leaves really come forward, now, as Francois said.
