I'm having trouble with my computer randomly losing connection to my scanner. The scanner will connect fine when turned on and work for a while, but then, mid-scan I will get an error that it has lost connection. I have to force quit the software and turn the scanner off and on to get it to reconnect.
I have Mac OS 12.01 and an M1 silicon chip and I have updated the scanner drivers.
My suspicion is that it has something to do with the USB cable setup since I had issues with my printer when I first got my new mac that has only USBC, but getting a direct to USBC cable and not using an adapter fixed my printer connection issues, while the scanner randomly disconnected persists no matter what cable or adaptor or set up I've tried.
It seems weird that it will connect initially and then lose connection at some point rather than just not connecting at all.
Any ideas?
