Editing DVD on mac BIG FILES
« on: April 08, 2023, 07:01:51 am »

Hi
I use an imac.
I got my Hi8 tapes transferred to DVDs. Each tape which is up to 90 minutes is a single file on the DVD.
There is lots of stuff I want to cut out of each tape and I wondered if there is software which could allow quick and dirty editing to cut chunks out of these large files?

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Is it a file on a DVD or a DVD video?
You could try Prism Video Converter to change it mp4 and then just use iMovie.

Hi
Thanks for answering.
It is a file on a dvd. I can convert to mp4 etc.using a converter. But my problem is loading and working with a 1 hour or 1.5 hour file.
I want to cut it into more manageable chunks.

Easy. Put it into iMovie and Split Clip as many times as you want. Delete the clips not required.
