Reflections, snow and pointy peaks (pano)
« on: March 04, 2023, 04:12:41 pm »

Another winter scene from my area of the world.

I didn't think we'd had a very good winter up here in Scotland this year photographically, but when I look back at some of the images I have been lucky enough to capture over the last few months, I think it has actually been quite a good one and we have more bad/good weather coming next week, with another "Beast from the East" type of storm forecast to flow down across the country, but mainly across Scotland. Although this time as it is coming in from the West, so they are instead calling it the "Guest from the West"  ;)

A beautiful scene, and quite a shift from the last one. Going from full-on fury, to dead calm.

Serene and breathtaking. I like the small "island", it breaks the symmetry.
Bravo.

Well seen, I like the natura colours, some may have had the temptation to saturate them a bit.

I know Arlen, such are the vagaries of the weather we get up here, but I wouldn't have it any other way  ;D

Thank you and yes I agree, that little snow covered island does attract the eye doesn't it?

Thanks Paulo and I did use my polarising filter for this shot, which is a filter I rarely use these days but did here for this shot and thought that it had already added enough 'oomph' to the colours and the sky, so that I didn't feel the need to touch them or add anything more to them.
