Deluge
« on: February 13, 2023, 04:22:33 am »

We went for a few days photographing around Braemar in North East Scotland last week, but before we went, it had rained and rained and rained for about two weeks solid. So when we were driving up there, we quickly noticed how all the lochs were overflowing and breaking their banks and all the rivers were absolutely raging in a way we had never seen before. In fact I have been watching several vloggers on the tube recently, who all said they had been due to be vlogging from up here in Scotland and around Skye etc, but how they had all given up because the weather was so bad - well more fool them I say, because the photo ops were really quite dramatic and everywhere - and here is an example.

Beauty! Well done. Haven't those chumps heard of the 'bad weather = great photos' equation?

One of your best, Dave, and that's saying a lot considering the very high standard your photos always have. This is one I'll revisit several times. Congratulations.

this is different.  i thought it was an out of focus wispy plant until i clicked through to see the larger version.  amazing movement in the water, i love how you managed to frame the trees with the waves.

Excellent! Perfect shutter speed to catch that chaos, show movement, and preserve some detail. Nice composition too!
