Lee Miller
« on: December 17, 2022, 05:33:20 am »

It is reported that a film is being made about Lee Miller from just before to just after the 2nd World War, with Kate Winslet in the lead role.  There is an exhibition about Lee Miller and Picasso in Petworth in the UK.  An exhibit is one of her cameras.  It just shows how very good images can be obtained with what today would be a very simple camera. Not only was she in the right place at the right time (and very brave), but she obviously had a very good eye.

One thing puzzles me about her images from that period.  Where were her films developed?  Did she send off her films or did she manage to get them developed before sending them off?  If the former, that makes her work even more remarkable.
