The colors of the autumn leaves are fast disappearing, but one splendor remains: the Winterberry Holly (Ilex verticillata) bushes and their vibrant red berries. These bushes are native to the eastern US and beautiful parts of our gardens as we move into the winter season, when the berries are eagerly eaten by the birds and squirrels.
