Slot canyon and tree
« on: October 29, 2022, 11:38:56 am »

Tekan ner Boulder, Utah. I used a 3-exposure HDR for this, and it required a lot of post-processing. But I am very pleased with the result! We had the entire place to ourselves for a half hour.

Nice image yet strange that the rock on the right should hide the portion of tree but all of tree is shown. Like the transparent rock? Or my eyes needs examination? Someone please explain.

I like it a lot… Colors do play very well together and although it's an HDR image, it looks very natural to my eyes.
Well done.

The tree was right at the canyon entrance, and the branch you reference was just inside and in front of the rock--out of the sunlight. I was there at a very fortuitous moment!

Well done. The clouds do have a strange cast, so I was wondering about cropping the sky out?

To me, the sky is essential, and I don't pick up on the cast you mention. The image is a 3-exposure HDR, maybe that's related?
