IR Photography anyone?
« on: October 22, 2022, 04:16:04 pm »

Anyone using your MF gear to do IR photography?

I tried IR back in the film days but not since.  Have been looking at modified cameras but seems a shame to take a GFX 100s, or any MF camera and modify it.  Thus, just ordered an IR filter/720nm that should be here on Wednesday.  Will see what I get with my 100s.

Suggestions/lessons learned would be appreciated.

Then you have a filter to cut off visible light outside and a sensor-filter cutting of non-visible light inside you camera...  ???
Not the way to go...

Older digital camera's like an old fuji from 2005 had weak filters on the sensor, making them more suitable.
The result was they were too sensitive to red and longer wavelengths. (too red skins etc)
