13x19 Photo paper
« on: January 13, 2007, 07:06:19 am »

Hi;  Would any one who uses the HP B9180 share their experiences with non-HP paper in the 13x19 inch sizes for color images?
Bought a HP B9180 printer  and have produced many very acceptable color prints using 13x19 HP Advanced Photo paper.  As I go forward printing more color images at 13x19 sizes cost for paper can become a constraint esp for a retired person with fixed income and a hobby of giving away pictures he has taken and continues to take. I will keep using HP Advanced paper but will consider cheaper paper producing equally beautiful color prints.
I would like to put the color prints in clear sleeves but not able to get 13x19 sizes here. would you provide names of companies who sell clear protective sleeves ifor 13x19 prints?

Thank you - Conrad

Hi Conrad, try ClearBags (www.clearbags.com). They sell many types of clear protective bags, of all different sizes, including 13x19.

Conrad:

I like the "house" brand papers from InkJetArt.com - they are basically the same premium papers as Epson premium papers, and are available in a wide variety of sizes, including up to a 500-sheet box of 13x19. I use their Luster paper in the 9180 and get beautiful results, in fact better than I got with HPs advanced paper. I also use this paper on Epson and Canon pigment printers.

Thank you for the information provided.
Printing large size photos at home has taken a very satisfying hobby to an unexpectedly higher level.   Conrad
