Those colors are almost to vibrant to be real but that's Iceland!
Well done, Rajan.

Thanks you, David and Francois.

Francois - for a very brief period, say 4-6 days, the peak Autumn colour here is a feast for the eyes. Not all regions peak at the same time. Even in the most bleak areas of the Northern Highlands there are patches of outrageous colour. Last week my friend Kristinn Ingi Pétursson made a quick solo run into the Northern Highlands. Unfortunately I had to hurry back to Reykjavík to avoid an imminent storm. A couple of his smartphone images are attached below.

Those two shots are exceptional (as yours) and Iceland is truly a magical place for the landscapes, colors, shapes, thermal places and plenty of other things.

Wonderful! We have some similar shrubs around these parts that turn similar colors this time of year. Great stuff!

Thank you, Peter, Eric, and John.

Eric - I hope you are able to cut another trip to Iceland, and maybe even to your ancestral Norway.

I've had one wonderful trip each to Iceland and Norway. In Norway I got to meet lots of relatives. Many years ago now.
