Looking for image conversion to painting software
« on: September 13, 2022, 07:03:29 am »

I have tons of software and am pretty sure at least PS and AI can do this but it is not automatic. I have a dog photographer that we print for and we would like to start offering a higher end oil painting canvas look to our clients. Have done some samples on BC Linen and that material is awesome. Now we need a one touch software that can give a real authentic look.
In my search we found several companies that offer the conversions but they are selling the final product and do not divulge the process which I understand.

I never ended up trying this but was interested in doing some abstracts including paint/brush strokes and came across this software

I think Corel Painter will do this.

Thanks guys.
Looked at a ton of stuff and even spent a couple of hours with photoshop but did not care for the end results.
Found Akvis Art Works and decided to give them a shot. Not Cheap at $189 but has a lot of options. Will report on how it works out.

I tried this program and found it produced good results.  Liked it so much I bought it for $89.  There are a ton of different settings and a super long and detailed manual.  Just started experimenting with taking a preset and changing some of the parameters.
