Hey Mike.
I’m trying this on on two older Macs.
One is on El Capitan 10.11.6
The other is 10.7.5
On both I was able to import the oms files which in both cases were accepted and the printer automatically restarted. That’s really good.
But when I go to print, in both cases the media settings in the drivers are still greyed out. Way back in the past I’ve seen this when a firmware needs updating.
Somehow at one point when installing the oms file I got an error message that said “dependencies problem “
This software will not work with current firmware TR 12 - TR 7.0.0.3 , go to the HP website and download the appropriate firmware. “
It looks like I still have the new “universal software package installed .
Yesterday I tried to delete the whole package and start from scratch but the printer still showed the 7 firmware.
Do you know how I can clean everything from the printer AND do you have any idea which Driver, Utility, and Firmware I should install?. I feel like I’m close now, it’s a firmware incompatibility with the film media settings. All other media work normally.
John
