Best or great Canon Travel Camera?

I had a Sony RX100, (the original),  great images, but  such a convoluted displays/ controls,  (and it it broke a lot too), so  I'd like to get back to  Canon ( I own Canon DLSRs)
Any recommendation on that? I think called G series, but bit of confusion on choice. thanks.
