Super Blood Flower Moon
« on: May 16, 2022, 01:20:26 pm »

I had fun out with a friend and his teenage son who is getting into photography.
It was maybe a little distracting too but I do this alone so much some company can be a nice change.

Superb framing. Now if only there wasn't that haze around the moon (maybe it adds to the overall effect?).

Thanks! The tree is a favorite of mine and in a good position for framing with the moon when it's higher in the sky which works well for eclipses. I'm undecided on the haze. It does give a different look but clarity is nice too. The clouds were coming and going and I had to catch what I could while things were aligned and not obscured.
It was extremely dark during totality and this is up on a rock outcropping with cliffs and cactus and potholes all around so it was a challenge at times, especially when trying to reposition as the moon moved.
