Epson Store extended Warrenty Phone Calls

For the past 2-3 weeks am getting phone calls from the Epson Store offering an Extended Warranty on my P900. As far as I can tell, this is just a swap for a RECONDITIONED printer should the NEW printer I purchased fail. Anyone here receiving similar calls?.
