A dear friend has just advised me that his gay son has recently determined to "transition" into womanhood and has forsaken his birth Christian name and adopted the moniker 'Lula'.
As this friend also has a large golden retriever called Lola I thought for the last month he was talking about his pet when-ever he mentioned Lula, when in fact he was talking about his son who apparently is now his daughter ....
