Epson P800 Best Rip Software
« on: April 12, 2022, 05:40:21 pm »

Hello!

Be keen to know user's opinions on the best ripping software to run an Epson SureColor P800 via Apple MacPro / OSX.
I'd appreciate any thoughts you might spare or pitfalls you can warn me of :)

Thank You

You're asking about a Postscript RIP?
Or you're not ripping anything, you want another print driver?

I recommend ImagePrint Black. You can download a trial version to check it out. I now use it with my Epson P900 and the results are the best that I have ever seen. The ImagePrint paper profiles are great and save a lot to time in testing. It’s not cheap, but if you print even a moderate amount, the times savings and resulting print quality is worth it for sure.

Thanks Everyone, and to you especially Bud - thank you I watched the Qimage One PR intro and it's features resonated with my needs, although it never referenced imports from Capture One. Can it? Does it dovetail with C1 ?  (I'm being lazy here by asking but someone might have the answer immediately!)

Thank You!

You can tell an export recipe to open QImage and it will send the image file and open the app. I found that it worked really well.

Cheers,
Ray
