Z3200 printing considerably small than settings.
« on: March 08, 2022, 08:42:15 pm »

My z3200 is acting up and am not sure what is going on. I have a set of 16x24" gallery wraps with 2" mirrored edge on all 4 sides. With the 2" mirror they should print to exactly 20x28"
They are all being reduced to 19"h X 26 3/4"w  Not sure what is going on. Page size is set to 24"w X 30" h No margins or borders are set.

What are you printing from Dan; Lightroom, Photoshop, Qimage?  Other?

... Qimage can mess you up, thinking you've deleted or zero'd out margins.

It's a long time since I had the Z3100 so I don't recall the driver page but my Epson driver recently turned on a magnification/reduction setting on it's Page Layout screen that had me baffled for a while (even with Page Size set correctly).

I print from Lightroom and the two places set margins and border are all set to zero. Take a look at my post coming shortly. My P8000 stopped printing purple and red. Good nozzle check and did several cleans still no good. Why I am using my backup z3200.

After setting margins and border in LR (right hand column) press the Page Setup button bottom left corner.  It should bring up the HP printer driver.  Check there for any magnification (or other setting) that may be overriding the LR setup.  That's what was happening on my Epson.  Qimage looked fine but the printer driver had somehow changed.

Margin settings in the driver though have to be set to expand if borderless, too bad I cannot remember the exact words. The driver tells you more or less how the margins are increased. IF all else fails a custom paper size will work.
