I have an HP Z3200PS (24") printer that I need to move on to a new home. It's in great shape - looks as new - and should be in great working condition - it's had a replacement belt (as a precaution during a service, the original belt was still fine) and has spent its life to date in a nice, temperate climate (Wales, UK). It comes with the original Eye-one spectro that acts as a dongle for the Advanced Profiling software, all manuals, extra paper cores and even a spare formatter board (never used). I'll even throw in a bunch of paper. And it’s free!
So why "should be" in great condition? Only that I can't test it, as it's asking for new inks and some new printing heads (if you know this printer, you'll know that heads are relatively affordable and simple to replace) and I can no longer justify the expense (I used this printer professionally - not heavily - for a few years, but not any longer). I have no reason to believe it won't work - it certainly powers up fine and it worked beautifully when I last used it. Nevertheless, under the circumstances, I'm not comfortable selling it - I just want the new owner to get as much pleasure from it as I have (and to get it off the property!).
This is a serious printer and, as with all large-format printers, ownership comes at a cost, although it isn't as bad as you might think (and the cheap, user-replaceable heads are a very nice feature). It is located in the UK in South Wales, near Swansea, and it will need to be picked up by the new owner with a van or small truck. It’s very heavy and I think it would need to be transported upright, on its legs. Sorry, I don't want to get involved in couriering something like this. It is, however, easily accessible on the ground floor, with drive-up access.
Hopefully this post doesn’t breach any forum rules. I’d far rather the printer went to a good home than to landfill somewhere. Thanks for reading!
