Paper other than EEM to use?
« on: February 03, 2022, 05:32:46 pm »

What matte paper are folks using that doesn't yellow like the Epson Enhanced? We usually package or frame our prints immediately, so this is the first time we've seen the issue and want to switch to something a little more stable.

Some paper without OBMs would be good. Also you should wait 24hrs before framing so the ink solvent can outgas first or you'll get a haze on the inside of your glass.

Innova IFA24 "Decor Art" paper. No OBA's, though slightly warm out the gate, mot a cold white like EEM.

+1  ..... printing a job with Pantone colors on it right now.  Dual sided versions in sheet sizes is  the IFA25.

Though it may not be available in the US market. Hahnemühle has the same qualites available as Photo Matt Fibre and Photo Matt Fibre Duo 200 and 210 gr/m². I think the manufacturer is Felix Schoeller, J22270 and J22274 respectively.

Not sure what you mean about US availability but both Hahnemühle Photo Matt Fibre 200 and Hahnemühle Photo Matt Fibre Duo 210 are easily found in the US.

I think Ernst was referring to the IFA24. This paper (and EEM) are about 1/3 the cost of the arches or Hahnemule papers.

To add my 2 cents: Some Innova papers belong to my "bread and butter" selection of substrates, highly recommended.

Be prepared to see manufacturing defects from time to time, but lower prices must come from something.
The only fly in the ointment, for me: Since Brexit delivery times to Europe are a nightmare...

If it helps at all, delivery times from Europe have become a nightmare...

I've been using Red River Aurora Natural for years. They also have a "cooler" version called Aurora White. Both are very nice papers.
