Well like the Finder, you can't move a folder with the same name but try it there, what happens?
IF you can, then go back into LR and it will show you, its confused because you did a move behind it's back and you'll have to 'fix' it there anyway.
How Aperture structured your folders is Apertures doing no?
Ok, so I checked i had a backup this morning and tried to move the incorrect one to the correct location.
It told me a folder there already had the same name.
So I highlighted the bottom incorrect one, right clicked on it and renamed it MotionBlur2
It did not change the name on the bottom one, it changed the name on the top one! Both still had the same 91 images.
If i try to remove the bottom one I can't, no error, just no response.
If i try to move it won't let me.
I tried Find Missing Folder and it told me it was already there and offered the option to Merge.
I did that and all of the images went to the correct folder, with zero now on the incorrect one.
However I still can't remove the incorrect folder. Remove option does nothing.
So the folder structure in Lightroom is not the folder structure in Finder. It is just a database with a corruption.
Aperture didn't need a folder structure, you can have your files anywhere. If you moved files in the Finder it would tell you they were missing and give you the option Locate Missing Originals.
