My favourite lighthouse
« on: January 05, 2007, 06:42:45 pm »

Made a dash to the beach today as the recent bad weather here in North wales, UK took a bit of a break. Here are a couple of shots of my favourite lighthouse (Talacre beach, North wales)

 All C&C appreciated

Nice images.  I would crop a bit off the bottom of each one.  The lighthouse in the fitst image appears to be leaning back (toward the right) a bit.  I would straighten it up.  The step lead it very nicely into the frame.

 Hi

 Thanks for the comments.

I'd agree that a crop on the second shot is a good idea, although I like the flat colours of the sand there probably is too much of it. Don't think I'd crop the first though as I think the textures really give the foreground some nice interest

The lighthouse does lean in both shots & the horizons are pretty level - it was built in 1776 so I guess it's moved a little since then   I suppose it could be a bit "off-putting" but I prefer to leave things as they are when possible

 thanks again
