ABW-settings won't "stick"
« on: January 09, 2022, 08:46:57 pm »

I'm trying ABW on my Epson 3880. My computer is a 2020 iMac I9. I'm using the latest Epson driver (10.90 downloaded from the Epson website today) and Catalina 10.15.7. I'm printing using Photoshop, though the behavior is the same if I print in Lightroom or using the Print Tool program.

The settings do not "stick."

For example, if I manually set it to 8 Horizontal, and 40 Vertical, the color toning box goes to "fine adjustment." If I click "save", and then go back to the printer settings, it has changed my settings to the "sepia" preset. (Horizontal 40, Vertical 48) and the color toning box says "sepia" not "fine adjustment." Regardless of how I set the numbers, it still reverts to "sepia."

I'm sure I'm making some simple minor error but this is quite frustrating.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

FWIW, I tried the same thing on my 2016 MacBook Pro, I7, Big Sur, and it seemed to be just fine. The settings were saved.

Clearly it's something in the iMac. I can't easily update the iMac to Big Sur and am not quite ready to go to Monterey.

Any thoughts?
