The Conductor
« on: December 10, 2021, 01:22:54 pm »

At one time this was a massive Cypress tree. It sits in the middle of the swamp where I shoot many of my bird and sunrise photos. For comparison, the tall tree to the left side of the frame is about 75 feet tall. The conductor is sitting about 30 yards back from the tall tree and is only showing about 2/3 of its original height.

Sentinel was my first thought.
I can see the conductor aspect though.
Reminds me of the scene in the "fellowship of the ring" where they see the sentinel statues to the land of Gondor

Once so majestic, but still an impressive sight.
