What do you do after damper replacement?

My yellow channel dropped out on my 7880 a while back and someone advised replacing the damper. I just did this but it hasn't worked, I've done a couple of cleans and also tried printing a pure yellow block but not one single nozzle is working. What else can I do please?

I had the same problem on my 7880 when I bought it after it had sat unused for 7 years.  The only difference was that my vivid magenta channel was blocked.  I was able to unblock this channel by undoing the magenta ink line at the print head end and at the ink cartridge end of the magenta ink line.  I used hot water and a syringe to force about 15" of solidified out of the ink line.  For instructions on getting at the ink line use the Epson 7880 Service Manual.  It is a 34 MB PDF.  I can send you a copy if you contact me.  I did this procedure in my garage and still have a magenta stain on the floor where the solidified ink fell.  Alternatively you could rig up a bucket to catch the ink residue.  It came out with a rush.

Have you done a power clean?
Generally after damper replacement one needs to do a power clean creates the vacuum pressure in the damper for the system to work
A normal clean will not do this
