Mystery with the new mask tool
« on: November 28, 2021, 04:46:07 pm »

I am finding LR's new masking tool to be very useful but here's a conundrum. On one photo, a Nikon RAW file, I open the masking tool and some of the options are not available: Color Range, Luminance Range, Select Sky, and Select Subject. The Linear and Radial Gradient tools are available as usual. See screen shot.

Other Nikon files (that I have tried) do not have this problem.

What's going on?

Can you confirm that those images with the issue are in Process version 5?

The 'other' files are the same camera and type of raws?

Updating to 5 fixed the problem. Thanks!
