another phtograph of a favorite subject from the past

i made many shots of this marooned boat.

ive finally found one i really like. [ and had forgotten ..before re discovering it while rustling through an old lightroom catalog


I may want to lose an inch or so off the top of the image...

I think cropping the top a bit will make the diagonal of the water stronger and help the composition.

I agree.

I'd also suggest a bit of serious maintenance (mainly calking & paint) before taking it out to sea.

I agree.

some "Kids" set fire to the aft of the vessel a couple of years ago...

fireworks allegedly...and I havent been back over there since to take notes...or make photos..


i do so wish flickr would maintain original file names within the names they generate for images stored on their servers..

 

This isnt the above shot cropped...but another with less sky than i'd like made within minutes of the image above...

Both are good.
I like the first with a touch less sky. The darkened sky reinforces for me the symbolism of a ship still trying to sail under stormy sky.
