As a follow-up to my previous post:
https://blog.paulobizarro.com/?p=2113This time an afternoon walk in the interior hills of Odemira. A few days after my walk on the coast, the weather improved and I made a walk in the interior, along a stretch of the river Mira valley. The river itself is dry, as a consequence of intensive irrigation for agricultural projects (mostly berries that are grown in greenhouses on the coast) and lack of rain. The Santa Clara dam, which stores the Mira water, is at 40% capacity, so the discharges that have kept the "natural" river water level, have stopped.
But this interior part of the coastal region is still beautiful, and in the Autumn there is some color in the trees, the air is crisp, and the golden light of sunset is great.
