A new study of hundreds of white-tailed deer infected with the coronavirus in Iowa has found that the animals probably are contracting the virus from humans, and then rapidly spreading it among one another, according to researchers.Up to 80 percent of deer sampled from April 2020 through January 2021 in the state were infected, the study indicated.
Beautiful shot!
Yes it is.But he's not wearing a mask!
The study published this month in the peer-reviewed journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showed SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in 152 — 40 per cent — of blood samples collected from the deer in Illinois, Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania in 2021.Since white-tailed deer are common in some urban parks, it is also recommended people wear a mask if they are near an animal.
