Looks interesting.

Why don't you try one, Rajan? I would trust a review from you!   ;)

(a) are the pockets lined with fleece so if I put wet/cold hands in them my hands feel better AND the pockets don't get too wet

(B) I worry about square side pockets the are vertical (put hands straight down) - these get rain in them easily. Better are side hand pockets that allow hands to be put in them from the side...

(c) I really only need a third outside pocket: for my cell phone and a couple other small odds and ends (my wallet). The arm pocket for lens cloth seems silly...

(d) is this jacket wind proof? waterproof?

Interesting coat. However looks like they do not ship to the US. Only EU.

Can’t locate a US distributor.

Site works in English until the cart. Then everything reverts back to German. Thus took a while before I realized they only ship to European locations.

Doesn't sound nice to wear, not a breathable fabric like GoreTex or similar.

A few gimmicky pockets on a cheap jacket from what I can see.

If you have to spend any serious amount of time in the rain, performance is critical. As a traveller to Iceland Rajan you should be able to get North 66 kit easily, that's one of the highest performing brands in the world.

Yes, 66ºN has very good products, albeit overpriced for what they offer. REI used to sell excellent 3-in-1 jackets under their own house brand but for some reason no longer do.
