P900 paper shift issue
« on: October 13, 2021, 10:14:46 am »

We've been printing lots of greeting cards on our P900 and many dozens have come out fine. Now we find a lot of them are shifting right at the end of printing so that the last inch or so of image is skewed to the side. This is 5.5 inch wide card stock. We can see the paper shift as it comes out of the printer. We assume it's a roller cleaning problem but can find no way to get at the rollers to clean them. Any advice? I am sending this scan to Epson too.

Solved, we think. The printer's maintenance mode has a function that runs a sheet of paper thru the printer without printing. We assume that cleans the rollers. Anyway, things are back to working properly.
