thanks rmw.  i've always found the textures and tones of the sage bushes to be interesting, especially the dead ones.  we don't have this on the east coast.

Lots to see in this shot. The dead sage and generally the foreground is ripe with textures and details and when the eyes travel to the upper part of the frame, those majestic peaks are breathtaking.

It smells great too! I live in a sea of sage (there is even a trail called Sea of Sage here) so I've had a lot time in the sage. They are also pretty nice for breaking your fall too if you crash, although they make a terrifying crunch and are scratchy. It's still better than hard ground and smells great.
