Z3200 aerosol replacement fan. Source?
« on: October 04, 2021, 08:01:42 pm »

I'm having trouble finding a replacement for the service station/arosol fan. The part number from the manufacturer (AVC) is AVC DS08025B12H-014.   The only sources seem to be in China or used on eBay.

Does anyone have experience in using a different part?

Yup.  Kers is quite right.

This is a thread I started in 2018 for the same problem.  Very hard to find the part, but in the end, HP were fastest and cheapest.  Who'd have thought.  My final post sums it up.

Yep, just ordered it from HP. I guess I'm just not used to them carrying anything for the Z3200 so have subconsciously crossed them off my supplier list.  Thank you both!

Having said that i just replaced the HP-fan in the PCA for a silent one... makes a lot of difference...
now it is practically noiseless when not in use...

For sure this also could be done with the aerosol ventilator- the HP types are not that special and very noisy. (cheap)

Interesting about the noise in the aerosol fan, as I've never heard a thing from them on my twin Z3200s even when the cover's off and I'm watching the fan run. I'm pretty sure they are OEM parts but could be wrong. The hurricane-like sound coming from the PSU fan is something else and I've been wanting to replace those for years.  It's quite a surgery, though, and both of those printers are kept very busy every day.

as soon as you replace the PCA fan- - ... you will hear the aerosol fan... :)

The parts are not wrong but cheap.... they work...
