A couple of days ago when I went for my afternoon walk, I was undecided whether or not to take my camera because the sky was very dark and cloudy and the 'weather forecast' predicted a high chance of rain later in the day.
However, because the sky looked so ominous, I thought there might be a chance of getting an interesting shot with an impressive sky in the background, so I took my Nikon Z50 with 16-50 kit zoom, which is my usual walk-around camera.
Because the sky was completely covered with clouds that appeared mostly dark and dense, I never expected to see a sunset, and was very surprised, on my way back to the car, to see the sunset in the attached image.
The redness of the sun's reflections might appear to be exaggerated, but that's how I recall the scene. I assume that dark grey clouds tend to reflect yellow as red.
The shot is a stitch of 3 images, camera held vertically. The settings were, 16mm, F8, ISO 200, and 1/15th sec exposure, hand-held. The rain began shortly after I'd taken the shots, but I managed to get back to the car before the downpour.
The location is College's Crossing which is the border between Brisbane and Ipswich in Queensland, Australia.
