Shooting with speed; the Broncolor Scoro S
« on: September 23, 2021, 08:49:11 am »

I just read the article by Andrew Paquette. The camera was a Phase One XF with an IQ3-100 digital back and a Schneider Kreuznach 110 mm LS macro lens. He says,,,
"If my studio had been larger, I would have used my 150 mm lens and captured these from a greater distance to increase the depth of field and use a larger aperture, such as f/8-f/12"

This is clearly wrong. The longer lens would certainly require the increased distance to retain the framing but that wouldn't affect the DOF; the larger aperture would be detrimental.
