Which trolley to transport photographic equipment
« on: September 21, 2021, 06:51:47 am »

Hello

I am currently still using an older ruxxac cart from braucke.
http://www.braucke-bielefeld.de/ruxxac--cart--business.html
I use it to carry my photo backpack. So I can also remove the backpack if necessary if the trolley no longer works.
But it is too heavy for me because it is designed for a load capacity of 125 kg.
My photo equipment is significantly less, around 10 kg.
The ruxxac-cart itself is optimal, except for the weight of almost 5 kg.
I'm looking for something similar to ruxxac-cart but with a significantly lower weight.
So far I haven't found it in the www. A transport car is not suitable because in older cities I also have to climb a lot of stairs or walk impassable paths on forest paths.
Does anyone have a tip?

Jochen

I have one of these (a Milwaukee) but I've only used it to carry props while carrying my backpack (on my back).  Mine is about the same weight I think, ie 10lb or so.  As I recall is was a pain to lug up staircases as I removed the props (including a very heavy old typewriter) carried that up, then the cart, then re-attached it on the next floor.

In general I think I'd be worried about getting a lighter cart as I think it would be less durable.  Nevertheless I did a search and came up with 2 possible options.  They are US websites so you'd need to see if they can be sourced in Germany if you think either are suitable.

@mcbroomf
Thanks for feedback.
I show the links.
At moment I will now optimize the ruxxac cart from braucke.
But..., I found this:

Maybe also a good solution when I use my bicycle?
